Wow! What an incredible day in Chester!
In the morning, we went on a fully guided tour of the reconstructions, excavations, museum and the award-winning hands-on room.
Topics covered included:
- Health, hygiene and medicine
- Food and drink
- Pottery
- Archaeology
- Roman artefacts
After some lunch, we discovered what it took to become part of the Roman army. Armed with battle shields, we visited ancient remains within the amphitheatre and roman gardens in the centre of Chester.
