Come and See

This week in Come and See we have had a very special visitor! Father Bernard came to visit us and answered the questions we had thought of.  He told us about his role in the parish and all the different aspect to his job.  We all learned a lot and thoroughly enjoyed it.  Thank you Fathe Bernard.

Highland Games 

Last week, we had a small group of children who went to represent Y4 at the highland games.  They completed a circuit of different activities including jumping, throwing and skipping. Well done to all the children that took part in the highland games.  Take a look at the gallery for more pictures 

Topic

This week we have been investigating different Roman artefacts and making mosaic pictures.  I have loved reading all your mosaic research! Thank-you for all the effort you have put in and they are great!

In literacy,  we have been planning, editing and drafting a poem about Pompeii.  All the children have done a great job!  

In our guided reading sessions we have been reading 'Romans on the Rampage'.

This week in numeracy we have multiplying.  We have learned how to multiply using the formal method and multiplied 3 numbers together. 

This week in Science we have been continuing our 'electricity ' topic.  We have been investigating switches, we have looked at the purpose of them and made one to complete our circuits. 

In Year 4 we have a star of the day.  This is awarded to children have that been consistently well behaved.
