Date: 10th Jul 2020 @ 8:39am

Hello again everyone,

I am just passing on more information from Mr Santus and Mr McGlown from St. Peter's.

Firstly, Mr Santus has posted a video on the school's YouTube channel for you all. I have posted the link below. It contains an update for you all, as well as a 'meet the y7 team' section. Enjoy!

Message from Mr McGlown:

Dear all,

As you will probably know the DFE published its guidance for opening up in September to all pupils on Thursday last week. We are now working through this guidance in detail to apply it to our particular circumstances as a school.I will be sending you a detailed set of information before the end of term so that you can plan for September, but I thought it was worth highlighting a few things at this stage.

We have been asked to plan for the return of all pupils. Although we might use some flexibility in the first week of September to bring pupils in on a phased basis to make sure that they understand the new ways of working; by the end of that first week all pupils will be able to attend full time.

There are a series of measures that we will need to put into place to create the safest conditions possible. One of these is to keep pupils in Year Groups. As much as possible pupil movement around school will be about keeping pupils with those in their year. It will be really improtant that everyone sticks to these rules at all times. Our intention is to offer the full curriculum to all pupils, but there will be ways that we have to organise this a bit differently.

From September we will expect all pupils to attend in full uniform and to meet our expectations around appearance, hairstyles, make-up and piercings etc. Please use the time before we come back to buy any items you might need to do this and to address the wilder aspects of your 'lockdown look'.

I look forward to sharing the plans for September with you before the end of term. There is a lot to think about, but also a lot to look forward to as we plan to re-unite our school community after such a long period of being out of school. We have two weeks of this term to go, please do your best to keep up with your work as this will put you in the best position for September.

With best wishes

A. McGlown
