Vocation and Commitment
This week, we have started a new topic in our Come and See curriculum: this topic is called 'Vocation and Commitment'. During this first week, we have explored how people make commitments in their lives- particularly through their jobs.
As a class, we talked about what commitment means to us (dedication, loyalty, sticking at something even when we find it hard, being devoted, etc). We then thought of some different jobs where a person might need to show commitment. To cut a long story short, there are lots of them!
We then went into the cyber lab to research a job of our choosing and we had to create an advert for that job. In our advert, we thought about the qualities necessary to complete the job, as well as the typical tasks we would need to complete to show commitment to it. A couple of our examples are attached to this blog. Feel free to browse through them to see if you are suitable for any of the responsibilities!
