Week ending 2nd February

Date: 5th Feb 2018 @ 9:44am

Come and See:

We have been finishing off our topic of Special People by listening to more stories from the Bible about Jesus as a young boy.

Maths:

Last week was 'Even' numbers.  This week we learnt about 'Odd' numbers.  We also practised counting in tens and fives and completed forwards and backwards sequences involving all of these multiples.

S.E.A.L:

We have been busy bees practising our assembly with Reception and Y2 ready to show our parents on Monday 5th.  Everyone took their readings home to practise last Monday.  Remember eyes to the front, clear and slow reading with loud voices!

Fond Farewell Mrs Webster:

We all enjoyed the very special assembly that was held for Mrs Webster on Friday morning and sang our hearts out to wish her a fond farewell.  Our favourite songs were Our Wish and Let Her Go which we sang to wish her a happy retirement.  She has been a very very special person in Y1 for a very long time and will be greatly missed.....although we hear that she may be returning to help us with our reading.....we will welcome her back with open arms!  heart
