Wellbeing week - Tuesday
Date: 19th Jun 2018 @ 2:58pm
Hi everyone,
Well we've had another lovely day today. It started off again with some free time where we could colour or read and just take time to enjoy being us! (quietly!).
Then it was off to the track to get our daily mile in! Some people decided to run today! Some people are really mad!! Most of us clocked up a couple of miles in the half hour that we had on the playground. Don't forget to get sponsored Y6.
After break we did some art work in the style of Guiseppe Arcimboldo, an Italian artist who, would you believe, made portraits of people using fruit and vegetables. Some of his pictures are hillarious! And so were some of ours!!! (enough said Mrs Hrab)!
We then had a visit from Mrs Parsonage, a dietician, who explained all about the different food groups and what we should be eating to maintain a healthy, balanced diet. She told us not to eat chocolate and fizzy drinks every day and told us how to check whether we had drunk enough water throughout the day! It was really interesting and we were very grateful for her coming in and answering our questions.
We finished the day on the field with a bit of circle time which we all enjoyed! We had a good laugh
We've posted more photos of your little cherubs for you to have a look at. Hope you like them.
Tomorrow is mainly about sport and we're really looking forward to it.
Will keep you posted.
