RE

This week, the children thought about special places to them. We then looked at special places for Jesus. We discussed different places of pilgrimage around the world. We looked at Rome, Lourdes, The Holy Land – Bethlehem, Nazareth and Jerusalem. Going on a pilgrimage to a special place reminds people how important it is to pray and gives them time to think about what is important in their lives. On the internet, the children researched a site of Christian pilgrimage. Each pair then shared their findings to the class. We thought about how people’s beliefs affect their behaviour. It was interesting to learn about special holy buildings and why people travel to the places of pilgrimage.

Science

We planned and carried out an investigation to look at the way in which water is transported within plants.

Thank you!
