A Very Busy Week

What a busy week we have all had - we are all very tired and ready for a rest this weekend. The children have all been busy rehearsing their Christmas Plays and they are really looking forward to performing in front of you all on Tuesday and Wednesday next week. (Reception children have their play the week after.) Monday is dress rehearsal day - which brings its own stresses - well to the teachers anyway- as it is the time when we realise that props are missing or costumes don't quite fit! 

Y6 really enjoyed their trip to the cinema to watch Wonder - their class book. They had their own personal cinema!    The children thought the movie was excellent - it really touched many of them and it has made the children think about what it must feel like to be different. I think the staff shed a few tears too!

The choir have had a particularly busy week - singing at Parish Church on Thursday night and then carol singing at the Billinge Christmas Tree Festival at St. Aidan's Church today. You were fabulous children and I was very proud of you all. We really do have a wonderful choir. It is clear that you all love to sing. Keep singing children. 

We finished the week with our annual Christmas Selection Box Bingo after school tonight. Although quieter than usual we managed to raise just over £350 so a great big thank you to everyone who attended and to the PTFA who worked hard to put the event together.  We still have some selection boxes left, so we will run another bingo session in school during the last week. Look out for further information.
