Final Week in Year 1!

Well, can you believe it?  It's our final week of this academic year which means our time with your children has almost come to an end :( 

The time has flown and we wanted to take the opportunity to say a huge thank you to all the parents/carers of the Year 1 children for your support throughout the year and also the very kind cards and gifts which have been sent in for us. 

This year has been different (thankfully) to the previous two years and it has been wonderful to give the children opportunities to experience the full curriculum in school, our wonderful topics such as Florence Nightingale and The Great Fire of London and of course, the opportunity to take them on the adventurous trip to Blackpool last week. It's been a fantastic year and the children have done themselves proud! 

We also wanted to take this moment to wish all of you a wonderful summer and hope that many of you get to go away, if you've got holidays planned. 

So it's a fond farewell from Mrs Duffy and I and we look forward to seeing your children back at school in September, that little bit taller and more grown-up looking, as super Year 2's!
