Here's what we have been doing lately.

Date: 20th Nov 2022 @ 9:41pm

Hello everyone

We are nearly half way through this half term.  The children are working super hard and are now well established members of Y1.  They have been learning about shapes, number bonds, fact families and addition in maths and will soon commence subtraction.  In literacy, as always, they are continuing with their daily phonics, reading, diary writing and are loving completing work around the book, Giraffes cant Dance.  They have been learning all about Florence Nightingale in History and the other faiths of Judaism and Hinduism in Come and See.   Ask your little one to tell you the Hindu story of Ganesh.  There is a special part in the middle that noone expects!

The next couple of weeks will see some of the Christmas activities start in school.   Mrs Taylor and I will try our very, very best to continue teaching numeracy, literacy and everything else to a class of very excited 5 and 6 year olds!  Wish us luck!

Kind regards

Mrs Duffy
