Tuesday 5th May

Date: 5th May 2020 @ 12:07pm

Hi ho, Year 6!

What a windy day it is! I hope you're managing to get some fresh air despite the blustery weather. At school, we have been out and walked our daily mile.

I hope you are all getting on well with this week's project (the gratitude journal). Here is my entry for today:

Mrs Naylor Gratitude Journal Entry - Tuesday 5th May

1. Today, I am feeling positive and energetic. I am keeping busy and getting lots of jobs done. enlightenedyes

2. I am grateful for the people I work with today- we all work well together as a team. I am also grateful for my family, who are always there for me and give me support. Finally, I am grateful to the NHS, who are working incredibly hard to keep us all safe during these uncertain times.

3. Well, I hope I made some of you smile yesterday with my joke (even if it was a bad one!) and I think I made a few people smile, so today I have decided to set myself a different goal. I would like to go to bed extra early tonight so I can get a good night's sleep and wake up feeling refreshed tomorrow.

As well as keeping up with your projects, don't forget to keep practising your maths every day on Times Tables Rockstars. You should also be reading every day, too. Keep that brain working!

Furthermore, this weekend is the celebration of 75 years of the end of WWII. Friday 8th May is known as VE Day: if you fancy a challenge, research into it and see what you can learn about VE Day and what it means. At school, we are off on Friday because it is a bank holiday, so on Thursday, we will be having a street party to celebrate.

Don't forget to send in your work so I can read them and publish some of them on our blog. I love to hear all of the things you get up to.
