World Book Day

What a fun filled World Book Day we've had in Year 4!

The children all looked amazing in their rainbow inspired outfits. Throughout the day, we completed a range of activities inspired by the book Rain Before Rainbows. We created acrostic poems focussing on how we can overcome worries and challenges, we considered the things that make us feel worried and how we can overcome them and we created rainbow artwork using oil pastels and water colours. Examples of the childrens work can be seen below.

The children had to Drop Everything And Read (DEAR) at a moments notice throughout the day and they had the opportunity to use our class Book Swap Box which will be kept in our class reading corner for the children to use throughout the year.

Hopefully, the children enjoyed the day and will continue to love reading!
