What a fun-filled term we have had in Year 4.

The children have become experts on teeth and the digestive system and have completed their first full science investigation of the year, looking at the effects of different liquids on teeth. They have developed their geographical skills using compass points, grid references, maps and atlases and have spent time learning to mix their own colours in art as well as drawing self-portraits. In RE, they have learnt about the Sacrament of Confirmation and explored what advent means to Christians.

The children had lots of fun during the Christmas Day of Fun. They took part in a Christmas Quiz, made amazing funky reindeer Christmas cards and played Bingo before enjoying this year's panto Aladdin. They have spent time preparing for the Christmas reflection in Church this week and I'm sure you'll agree they read and sang beautifully.

After Christmas, they will begin their Rotten Romans topic learning about the Romans in History and Italy in Geography. On Thursday 18th January, we have our Roman Workshop which will take place in school. This will be a great way to introduce the children to their new topic!
