St Mary's Spooky Poetry Competition Winner Announcement

First of all, on behalf of myself and Mrs Naylor I would like to thank every single person that entered into our Spooky Poetry Competition this  year.

We had a record number of entries and every one of them had clearly been done with lots of effort and thought, so a HUGE well done to you all!

We have even put every single poem into a very special 'St Mary's Spooky Poetry Competition 2021 book' which will be displayed in our library for children to have a look through each year.

It was extremely difficult to stick to picking just 2 overall winners from both the infants and juniors, however we spent time discussing them all and I'm thrilled to say that the winners were:

* Isla from Y1 *

* Michael and Jonathan from Y4 (a creepy collaboration) - 'The Haunted Woods at Halloween'*

Keep writing those fantastic poems, all of you and we look forward to reading more in next year's competition!
